The nostalgic feel that someone gets when reading war letters is one that everyone should experience. It takes you back to the time that the letters were written. You can almost feel the cold wet ground as the person sat there writing with frozen hands. You can taste the coffee and hard tack as they wrote. You can hear the other men in camp talking, moving around and see others writing home as well.
