Customer Review: IT takes a little while to get used to it and you have to anchor it solid on the table. This product is well made and my old one went through many years of continuous use and performed beautifully. It is so easy to use that all 6 of the grandchildren use it with perfect results. The trick is using firm apples. I've never used it to peel potatoes, but if i did i would choose very smooth medium size realizing there would be areas to trim out with a paring knife due to the nature of a potato, which may not be worth the time. I love this product and will replace this one in maybe 4 years without hesitating. This is my second purchase of this product. I used mine for about 2 years. I like to soa...

Customer Review: I noticed that several professional chefs recommend this product for their mashed potatoes. I decided to give it a try. I have been very pleasantly surprised at the results. It is easy to use, just insert several potatoes, put the top part over the potatoes and clamp the handles together. This process needs to be repeated several times, depending on the size of your batch of cooked potatoes. The whole thing is in one piece and it goes into the dishwasher for easy clean up. Potatoes that are put through this ricer come out nice and fluffy. I have been able to cut down on the salt, butter and milk when my potatoes are put through this ricer. The potatoes even seem to taste better.

Customer Review: This apple peeler was better than I expected. It's made in China, and fairly low price, so I thought it was going to be junk, but actually works great, and is built pretty strong. I ended up buying one for my mom because I loved it so much :D 5 stars here.

Customer Review: And you get three.
I have peeled the following in a restaurant setting, with no problem: yucca, butternut squash, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cucumber, carrots, rhubarb, apples, pears, various squsahes, and citrus zest. If I pull the peeler lightly across the skin of the citrus, I get perfect zest, with no pith. If I peel rapidly, it makes short work of the huge, hulking root veggies, like yucca. Get the set, and use them all.

Customer Review: This book brought two firsts for me: 1) This is the first book I've actually progressed from the inkling that I should write a review to actually DOING it and 2) is the first book that when I came to the absolutely delightful, joyous, making me grin from the inside out ending, that I went back to the beginning and started again. While by the end of my first reading I had the numerous characters sorted out, they were rapidly introduced, and as the reader must keep track of who they are by referring to whom the letters are to and from, I wanted to go back and reread each character's introduction. Then I found I just wanted to keep rereading to again experience the development of the relationsh...

Customer Review: This book is has really good incite on how food interacts with your overall well being at a chemical level, however some of Dr. DesMaisons suggestions I suspect are not good enough for what a lot of people actually need. Sure, I agree that some people's bodies react differently to different chemicals (and sugar is a chemical) however; I'm referring to her lack of emphasis on exercise and her emphisis to make individuals feel like they are "suffering."
She says by following her steps - over time, activities like exercising will come naturally, but physical activity is a must for those healthy enough to do it, period. Sorry folks, it is. Unlike her sugar allergin hypothesis, it...
