An heirloom Santa is a treasured item in homes throughout the world. Some are handed down through families while other heirloom Santas are antiques that collectors have purchased to add to their private collection. Around the globe Santas come in all different shapes and sizes. There are also different Santa beliefs.
Santa Claus - US and Canada. Santa with his red suit trimmed with white fur and a belly that jiggles like a bowl full of jello lives at the North Pole with Mrs. Claus.

Pere Noel - France. He has a helper named Pre Fouettard who keeps track of the good and bad for him. Children leave shoes to be filled in lieu of stockings.
Sinter Klaas - The Netherlands. He delivers presents on horseback.
Hoteiosha - Japan. A priest with eyes in the back of his head to see better if children have been bad or good.
Papai Noel - Brazil. Their celebration of Christmas is similar to the people of the United States.
