Best Heirloom Santa Resources
An heirloom Santa is a treasured item in homes throughout the world. Some are handed down through families while other heirloom Santas are antiques that collectors have purchased to add to their private collection. Around the globe Santas come in all different shapes and sizes. There are also different Santa beliefs.
Santa Claus - US and Canada. Santa with his red suit trimmed with white fur and a belly that jiggles like a bowl full of jello lives at the North Pole with Mrs. Claus.
La Befana - Italy. She brings gifts to the good children and punishes the bad.
Saint Nicholas - Russia. He is now known as Grandfather Frost and wears a blue suit.
Julemanden - Denmark. He rides in a reindeer pulled sleigh with a sack of gifts.
Dun Che Lao Ren - China. Families light their homes with paper lanterns and hang muslin stockings to be filled with presents from the "Christmas Old Man".
Father Christmas - England. He wears long robes and has sprigs of holly in his hair.
Pere Noel - France. He has a helper named Pre Fouettard who keeps track of the good and bad for him. Children leave shoes to be filled in lieu of stockings.
Sinter Klaas - The Netherlands. He delivers presents on horseback.
Hoteiosha - Japan. A priest with eyes in the back of his head to see better if children have been bad or good.
Papai Noel - Brazil. Their celebration of Christmas is similar to the people of the United States.

Customer Review: These are nice sized cookie cutters. I bought them more for peanut butter sandwiches than cookies, & they fit nicely within a slice of bread. When I originally ordered them, I thought they were metal cutters with the rubber tops, but they're plastic. Still, they're sturdy & easy to use, even for small children.

Customer Review: These cutter are what I consider, regular size. There's nothing "mini" about them. I had to order another set from another company to make a certain batch of cookies that require MINI cutters so they'll bake evenly.

Customer Review: The Heat Miser Bobble head doll I ordered looks just like the character from the movie! He is on the heavy side, so I wouldn't recommend it for smaller children. Also, I spotted a small chip on his nose when I received him and the package he came in looked old and banged up. Good thing the person I gave it to didn't care.

Customer Review: Harper Collins released this small hardcover graphic novel based on L. Frank Baum's original book, A Kidnapped Santa Claus, adapted by Alex Robinson(Box Office Poison). The book was a followup to Baum's The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus which told Santa's origins. In this story, Santa gets captured by some evil demons, so a bunch his elves and fairy friends(including Zurline)mount a rescue. This actually turned out to be a great comic for young readers, and I highly recommend it as a holiday gift.

Customer Review: Very fun book! This is the fifth one in the series that I've purchased for my six year old grandson. Perhaps someday I'll give them to him (but not until I've found every single dang hidden item myself). I can't tell you how many hours of entertainment these books have provided (is using a magnifying glass when stumped considered cheating?).
Anyway, this book and the others in the series consist of some very unique photography of some very imaginative organizations of all kinds of objects.
